About Me

Hello! I'm Sana, a graphic designer, UX/UI designer, and web developer currently based out of Toronto.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from the State University of New York at New Paltz and received my Master of Design degree in Digital Futures from OCAD University.

During my Master's, I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Visual Analytics Lab at OCAD, under the mentorship of Dr. Sara Diamond, CM OOnt. Working closely with other designers and developers, this experience helped me discover my passion for UX/UI and opened my eyes to the importance of collaboration and user research.

In the summer of 2019, I interned with The Globe and Mail, Canada's largest newspaper, working with the data science team to design wireframes and prototypes of data tools for internal usage for their editorial and advertising staffs.

Following my internship, I began working as a full-time UX/UI designer with Whitecap Canada, Inc., a software development company located in Toronto. Working as both a designer and web developer, I have been involved with projects for clients such as The Canadian Cancer Society, Woodbine Entertainment Group, and Miele.

In addition to UX/UI, I have advanced knowledge of graphic design and all forms of print production and have used these skillsets in my previous roles as well as by working as a freelance designer for the past six years.

Overall, I am passionate about design and believe in the importance of perspective and critique in order to create the strongest communication of concept, regardless of the medium.
