I was hired by the Masters in Digital Futures administration to design the branding and design materials for the 2018 graduate thesis exhibition, which took place in April. This project was quick-paced and involved a lot of communication with the students as well as the graduate coordinator in order to be able to make deadlines. Initially, I met with the students as a group and we discussed the tone and general aesthetic that they were interested in achieving. They had already settled on a name for the show, so it centred around the theme of 'divergence,' which I interpreted to mean something that starts at the same point and expands out to various other points.
Ultimately, I decided on the bold blue colour scheme and the visual graphic of several lines diverging from a single point, which I felt represented the theme of the exhibition while still retaining an element of abstraction, which was preferred as there were several different projects being exhibited.
